Printer-friendly version

On september 9th the Press conference of the festival took place in the somptous Salon Louis Lumière of the Hôtel Scribe, called before the Indian Salon. in 1895 this salon opened it's doors to the first public projection of the Lumiere brothers who invented the Cinématographe before sending their operators throughout the world. One of them, Maurice Sestier did show these same 6 films in Mumbai 6 months later in the Hotel Watson. One says that the Indian Cinema is born from this projection. Since then many other artists through history have been showing their creations in this same salon. What a symbol!

The '"Extravagant India!" team did present the festival, the films in competition, as well as the events that will
be organised all along the festival throughout this week of discovery and cinema.

Journalists, partners and friends and the whole festival team were present.

Information, Désire, Discovery, Sharing and Cinema were the main words of the event.
