Synopsis: 

Julien gets admitted into the Natyasangham PSV, a Kathakali school. It is the first time in 20 years that a Westerner joins the renowned school. He shares with us the intimacy of a community of men dedicating their lives to this art.

Réalisateur / Director: 

Cédric Martinelli is a director, photographer and film editor. “La table aux chiens“ (KATHAKALI) is his second documentary. Previously he has directed “Quelque chose en plus“ in 2003.
Julien Touati is an actor and a choreographer. He stands in “La table aux chiens“ as co-director and main character.
From 2006 to 2009, he studied Kathakali and worked in Kottakkal, Kerala, involved in the Natyasangham PSV Kathakali company. In “La table aux chiens“, he shares this experience with us.
